- Roadside assistance — help when you break down away from home; included in every deal listed.
- National recovery — transport to any UK destination if the fault can't be fixed at the roadside.
- Home start — cover for breakdowns at or within a short distance of your home.
- Onward travel — a replacement car, accommodation or transport so the journey continues.
- Excess — some policies charge a fee per call-out in exchange for a lower annual price; "No excess" deals don't.
